• Our show dogs ended the year in grand style with GRCH. Bo-Bett's Open Button winning Best Of Breed at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship for the second year in a row as well as being the #1 Italian Greyhound in the US also for the second consecutive year. Our whippet special GRCH. Bo-Bett Speed Demon won Best Of Opposite Sex at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship and ends the year as the #3 whippet in the US. Both dogs proudly owned and bred by Carol A Harris of Bo-Bett Farm.

• September 1, 2011 three new additions arrive at Sugar Valley Farm and Kennel from Pair-A-Docs Boer Goats, MFR1 2DOX Arista-Cat along with two young does V2DOX Encore and MFR1 2DOX Cats Glamour Girl.

• Sugar Valley Farm and Kennel is proud to announce the purchase of "2DOX AristaCat" from Dr. Robert Dressler. This outstanding solid red buck out of two national champion parents will be headed to Georgia the end of August.

Located in beautiful North Georgia just 5 miles off of I-75, Sugar Valley Farm and Kennel provides the room and resources to produce top quality show animals. Owned and operated by Justin Smithey, whose love of pure bred dogs started at the age of 16 with the purchase of a whippet from Calvin Perry's long-standing Appraxin kennel. Italian Greyhounds were soon to follow with the help and guidance of Carol Harris of Bo-Bett fame.

The interest in show dogs has turned into a full time business with Kennels In The Country, a modern 2500 square foot boarding kennel. Justin also attends over 150 dog shows a year, campaigning top quality Whippets and Italian Greyhounds for clients in the US and abroad. In addition a small, but active breeding program has thrived with the help and mentoring of Calvin Perry and Carol Harris. This breeding program has resulted in numerous champions and acclaimed wins in all levels of competition. These Whippets and Italian Greyhounds have enhanced the breeding programs of others in the states and and abroad.

Most recently, Justin has been thoroughly enjoying his new venture into the Boer Goat industry. This venture includes another way to enjoy pure bred animals and the growing market for show and breeding quality Boer Goats. With the help of Dr. Bob Dressler of Pair-A-Docs, a small group of foundation does were purchased to use as donors to produce show prospects with the best modern day genetics. A group of color bred does were purchased from Carol DeLobbe's, Bon Joli Farm, to help fill the constant demand for quality, red, spotted, and dapple boers.

The top priority of Justin and his staff is to assure all animals in their care are safe and healthy. There is much emphasis on freedom of exercise and opportunity to play outdoors. This, along with top quality nutrition and regular expert veterinary care guarantee all animals at Sugar Valley Farm & Kennel reach their full potential.
